There are those who approach God from the outer court trying to enter into His presence and then there are those who live in the Holiest of All – inside God permanently.
Those who are trying to enter from the outer Court are like Esther standing outside the throne room. Esther was afraid to enter into the Throne room of the King because the Law said she could be put to death for simply walking in without being granted permission.
Even to get to the place where she was qualified to be selected as Queen instead of Queen Vashti Esther had to undergo rigorous preparation by the Eunuchs. This again emphasises that she was outside the Throne room trying to get in.
The story get’s romanticised by many preachers and used by them to inspire awe of God. They like to use the picture of Esther standing outside the throne room to incite fear into the hearts of their congregation with their holiness message.
Yet dear one that fear belongs in the OLD COVENANT not the New Covenant.
John the Baptist’s father Zacharias prophesied and said this…
Luke 1:70 As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets,
Who have been since the world began,
71 That we should be saved from our enemies
And from the hand of all who hate us,
72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers
And to remember His holy covenant,
73 The oath which He swore to our father Abraham:
74 To grant us that we,
Being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
Might serve Him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.
Zacharias was prophesying the new covenant that God spoke to Abraham which allowed BELIEVERS IN HIS SEED (Jesus) to:
“serve Him without fear,
75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life“
God spoke face to face with Abraham and called him his friend. There is none of that in the old covenant – only terror.
But God has performed the mercy promised to our fathers He has remembered his holy covenant the oath He swore to Abraham! To grant us—GRACE—AND DELIVERANCE FROM OUR ENEMIES—SIN AND DEATH–THE FLESH AND THE DEVIL!! Why?
So that we might serve God without FEAR!!! How can that be!!?
Because God has granted or gifted us a perfect standing before His throne. We are made as Jesus is now in this world! We have been brought NEAR into the very “Holiest of All” — into the very throne room —into the very HEART OF THE FATHER!!
We are made the righteousness of God inside of Christ Jesus. There is now therefore NO CONDEMNATION to those who are inside Christ Jesus.
We are already INSIDE THE THRONE ROOM!! And it was NOT OUR DOING —it was not by any preparatory methods and massages and worship and praise and giving thanks etc etc….it was not because we were in any way qualified to enter Him –but all by God’s grace–who granted us ENTRY INTO HIS HEART PERMANENTLY.
We do not go in and out of His presence–WE ARE IN HIS PRESENCE!! That is where we always dwell REGARDLESS OF FEELINGS.
So do not think that you are outside looking in wishing you could get nearer to God. Believe the Gospel!!
You have been brought NEAR TO GOD by the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the holy spirit. You appear in the presence of the Father CONSTANTLY because Jesus carried you in there and HE NEVER LEAVES FATHER’S HEART.
The Devil would accuse you of failing before God so you will believe THE LIE THAT YOU ARE OUTSIDE THE HOLY OF HOLIES TRYING TO GET IN AGAIN by repentance and stopping your sin.
The reality is that YOU NEVER LEFT HIS PRESENCE! YOU NEVER LEFT THE HOLIEST OF ALL!! YOU NEVER LEFT THE THRONE ROOM!
You might feel terrible because you sinned but your LOCATION NEVER CHANGED. Your mind will say that you are FAR FROM GOD and the Devil will keep feeding you that LIE. But friend repentance is not all the “sorry sorry sorry sorry” stuff…repentance is turning your eyes upon Jesus and declaring out loud that you are inside of God and He is inside of you….repentance is believing that you are never been separated from God because Jesus died for your sins and rose for your justification and now LIVES FOR YOU AS YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS BEFORE THE FATHER.
The picture of Esther outside the door belongs in the past! It DOES NOT REPRESENT THE NEW COVENANT BELIEVER.
Outside are those who love and practice a lie. Rev 22:15
The LIE that many are practicing is that we are OUTSIDE of God trying to get near to Him by our own performance and obedience.
That is a lie fed to the Church by the Devil.
You are in Him and He is in you and together you are in Father God.
John 14:19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
Every impediment that stood in your way to entering into God HAS BEEN REMOVED for you by Jesus.
Jesus has triumphed for you and now GIVES YOU HIS VICTORY over sin and death–over the Devil and the Flesh.
The believer has been made a child of God and is a son of God through the faith of Jesus Christ. It is not up to you to muster enough faith–Jesus has done it for you!
He comes into you WITH HIS FAITH–to be your LIFE…and to BRING YOU INTO THE FATHER –not one day when you die and “go to heaven”!!
You ARE ALREADY IN HEAVEN!! Believe it and rejoice. You are already in God! You are already in the holy of holies. You are in – so why are you trying to get in?
Rest in faith in what Jesus has accomplished for you.
