“For this purpose was the son of God made manifest that he might destroy the works of the devil” That’s what the scriptures say in first John- ‘For this purpose was Jesus Christ the son of God revealed, made flesh, that he might destroy the works of the devil, Satan, the Devil.’
The dragon holds people prisoner through sickness, through addiction, through sin and Jesus came that his works might be destroyed. And he did that when he went to his death on the cross. Because when Jesus went to the Cross he took all Humanity with him… he took all those who were born in Adam with him… so that when Jesus died we died… that means that Every curse that was upon us, every accusation that was against us died on the cross… that the power that the devil held over all Humanity was broken by the death of Jesus Christ…
And when he died on the cross you and I went free.. we went free.. the curse was broken, the spell of sin was broken.. and when God raised Jesus from the dead we were made right with God.. we were Justified, we were found blameless before God by the re.. the resurrection of Jesus Christ.. this is the good news…
And God was in Christ not counting our sins against us but having put all of our sin Upon Jesus Christ, that we might go free, that we might be acquitted of all charges laid against us by the law of God… because all of us have broken God’s law.
Jesus the just one, the innocent one, became our sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God..inside of him. Hallelujah! Just and blameless we are because of the blood of Jesus Christ… which he poured out for us.. hallelujah!! This is the good news! Thank you Lord Jesus.
