As I was saying in the video ‘Adam was not deceived he chose part two’ the idea that we will ‘rule over the Nations’ —It comes from the curse that God spoke to Eve. God said ‘your desire shall be for your husband and he shall rule over you.’
And yet Paul by the inspiration of the Holy Ghost said in Ephesians 5 ‘the husband must love his wife and lay down his life for her as Christ loves the church and laid down his life for the church’… so the idea that we will rule over the Nations is upside down… it’s the carnal viewpoint, the natural man thinks those things… and whenever we live under the old Covenant mindset …‘that we must promise to God that we will serve him’ — we have opened up the curse in our life… and that’s the result… We rule over one another. We lift ourself up over one another. Whether it’s our wife or our husband our brother or sister.. law keeping.. the trying to keep the law to please God… is the quick way to curse yourself… because ‘cursed is the one who does not keep all of the law’…
And no one can say they do! But to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Perfection, our completion, our righteousness, our life,… that is the way to bring blessing upon our life… the blessing is in Jesus… it’s not in us. The old Covenant points to you and me to keep it.. I don’t know about you.. but I’d rather be in the New Covenant which is all about Jesus keeping our side of the Covenant before God.
and Jesus has kept it! and he continues to keep it! God sees Jesus and smells a soothing Aroma. We see our failure and that’s when we’re meant to lift up Jesus as my righteousness, as my Holiness, as my completion and Perfection before the father… he causes us to stand before God in the present moment.. as holy and blame blameless, unblameable in his sight.. he causes that to be the case, now and in the day of judgement.
so the idea that we will rule over the Nations.. we need to let that go… come into the New Covenant and realise that laying down our life and loving the people of the Nations… and laying down our life for them… is God’s definition of ruling.. ‘You will rule over five cities.. you will rule over 10 cities...’ Yeah.. The New Covenant ruling is to lay down your life and serve, wash their feet, serve them, serve them Jesus Christ! Hallelujah may the Lord bless you.
