Men especially have this tendency. Many men find it hard to surrender their control to God. We have to give God the reigns to our lives and allow Him to lead us. The first and most important thing to do is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ! That is the first and most important way to surrender to God.
God sent Jesus to live inside you at the deepest level so that He is the one causing us to agree with God.
Men you need a HELPER!
Jesus told His disciples who had walked with Him for 3 years that He would ask the Father to give them another Helper.
Jn 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
Once you accept that you NEED A HELPER then He is yours forever!
But for men and yes, women too…we do not like to admit that we need ANYONE ELSE to HELP US do we.
That attitude will inevitably get us into trouble in life. We were designed to NEED ANOTHER HELPER! We were not created to go it alone.
God saw that Adam was alone and He said it is NOT GOOD.
Gen 2:18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a HELPER comparable to him.”
Two are better than one.
God gave us the picture of a man and woman joined together in marriage union working towards a common goal with one mind and unity of purpose and spirit. But marriage is also a picture of what God wants EVERY INDIVIDUAL to EXPERIENCE AND LIVE IN WITH THE HELPER – The Spirit of Jesus Christ!
Unless a husband personally has THE HELPER living inside Him and he learns to lean upon Him he will make many mistakes.
When the HELPER comes in HE TAKES THE DRIVERS SEAT….but many attempt to put Him in the back seat of our car.
Friend invite Jesus into the driver’s seat of your life. Things will go a lot easier for you.
Dear Father in Heaven I surrender to you and ask that you give me the Holy Spirit to be my ever present Helper always. I admit that I need you Lord Jesus. I need you to be with me today and everyday! I need you to be the One who leads from the inside. Be my strength and be my wisdom Jesus. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. In your precious name I pray. Amin
